10 Best Craft Beer Instagram Accounts
Early in 2018, I put together a list of the Best Instagram Accounts for Runners where I published a few of my favorite runners who were motivating me to stick with my marathon training. Now that the marathon is over, I figured it was time to publish my ten favorite "beerstagram" accounts that are getting me through my post-race recovery.
It's definitely been tough not being able to run much since the race, but luckily there is plenty of beer to go around. Whether you're a beer connoisseur or just beginning to explore the vast world of craft beer, here are a few craft beer Instagram accounts that showcase all of the best aspects of the vast world of craft beer.
Breweries
To kick off the list, let's start with the experts. Brewery Instagram accounts are some of my favorite to follow because they give you a behind-the-scenes look at the production of some of your favorite brews. Now obviously I'm a little biased, there are plenty of breweries that are showcasing incredible content on a daily basis, but I went with my two favorites.
10. MontaukBrewCo
Montauk Brewing's account not only provides stunning shots of some delicious beer, but they're also a constant reminder of the joys of summer. Since moving to Long Island, they've become one of my favorite breweries to visit no matter the season. Not only that, but their consistently featured brewery pup is sure to put you in a good mood!
9. @DogfishHead
Again, I acknowledge a bias in my selection of breweries to feature on my list but it's hard to talk about innovation in craft beer without them. Dogfish's Instagram feed is not only packed full of shots of delicious beer but also takes a look at the faces behind the beer. Dogfish regularly puts together Instagram stories that showcase their "off-centered" employees up to all sorts of shenanigans.
Beerformation
Apart from the experts showing us where our favorite beer comes from, these next craft beer Instagram accounts are great resources to take your knowledge of craft beer to the next level. Whether sharing a simple review, or an in-depth feature on a specific brewery or event, these accounts are sharing incredible images to keep you informed of the latest in craft beer.
8. @GoodBeerHunting
You may recognize Good Beer Hunting who I also featured as one of my Top 5 Beer Blogs to follow. They're not only putting out awesome content on their Instagram account but similar to their blog, every post tells a story. Especially if their full blog seems a bit daunting to read, their Instagram account is a great way to get similar content in bite-sized pieces.
7. @Brew_Babes1026
If you want incredible beertography, the latest beer news, and quick but detailed reviews, Brew_Babes1026 have everything that you need. I'm definitely jealous of their craft beer wisdom and access to some of the country's best beer. They're a great account to follow if you're looking for clear but in-depth beer reviews that don't beat you over the head with unintelligible jargon.
Furry Friends
Alright, people-centered accounts are great and all, but I can't deny my love for the dogs and cats of Instagram. Who knew there were so many ways to feature your favorite beer with your favorite pets but these guys continue to generate some hilarious content.
6. @LorenzoTheBeerCat
Lorenzo is easily one of my favorite accounts on Instagram and his sidekick Vito The Beer Whale Cat even has his own beer! I'm not necessarily much of a cat person but it's hard to resist these two feline friends. Just scroll through a bit of their feed and try not to laugh, something about the cat's expression is just irresistible.
5. @BarleytheBrewPup
For those of you who prefer man's best friend, have no fear, there are PLENTY of dog-centered craft beer accounts on Instagram. My personal favorite is Barley the Brew Pup, a Corgi/Husky mix who's got great taste in beer and impeccable style.
Apparel
It seems like half of the clothes I own are beer-related in one way or another and part of that is because I keep seeing awesome gear on Instagram that I just have to buy! To better enjoy your beer, it's important to look the part so here are my two favorite apparel accounts with plenty of creative and out-of-the-box designs to choose from.
4. @BrewerShirts
Brewer shirts was one of the first accounts I followed after getting IRUNONBEER up and running. If you're looking to upgrade your beer gear collection, they've got some awesome shirt designs, and trust me, they're super comfortable! I'm especially a fan of their Beer-Drinking Animal line of shirts.
3. @HoppyBeerHoppyLife
Straight out of San Diego, I love this account but it gives me all the FOMO. Somehow I still haven't made my way out to California and all the photos remind me why I need to get there ASAP. HoppyBeerHoppyLife is a "Beer Lifestyle" brand with a huge range of apparel. Plenty of unique designs to choose from and make you feel like you're soaking up the California sun even in the desolate northeastern winters.

Good Looks
Last but not least, let's take a look at two accounts that are killing the game when it comes to visual content, that's what Instagram is all about right? These two accounts put out simply incredible photos of beer with some awesome views.
2. @BeerSelfie
BeerSeflie is great because they showcase the faces of craft beer drinkers from around the world. They collect TONS of submissions and feature some stellar beer drinkers. They earn the number two spot on the list because, apart from putting out great shots, they're also an awesome springboard for finding new people to follow. They're constantly sharing photos on their feed and in their stories to give you the best content and accounts each day.
1. @TheBeerHiker
Number one on my list is TheBeerHiker. I mentioned FOMO before but no account ignites more jealousy in my Instagram feed than his. This guy has access to some of the best beer, and some of the best hiking, and he shares some awe-inspiring shots that showcase the two. Craft beer just tastes better outdoors so do yourself a favor, follow TheBeerHiker, get inspired, and then load up a cooler for your own adventure.
