So a review of a towel may seem a bit strange but I can't emphasize enough how useful of a tool this SPECIFIC towel is for runners. Or for anyone who enjoys any kind of outdoor activity for that matter.
This is actually my second Orange Mud Transition Wrap and I always have both in my car ready for use whenever I may need them. The transition wrap serves three main functions...
1. Privacy Wrap
One of the long sides of the towel is designed as a sort of belt with loops on one side and a small hook on the other. This allows you to wrap the towel tightly and securely around your waist. Once secured, the towel is long enough to provide you some cover to quickly change out of any dirty running clothes after a long run or race.
2. Seat Cover
If you opt not to change, or even if you do but are still feeling a bit grimy, the second function of the Transition Wrap is for use as a seat cover. On one of the short lengths of the towel, there is a zipper that creates a pocket that you can pull over your car seat headrest. That way the towel covers the full seat and won't slide down if you move around.
3. Towel
Lastly, it obviously functions as a towel and the microfiber material is not only soft but incredibly absorbent as well. Just a side note here, I opted for the camouflage pattern towel which is slightly less plush than the others. Because the pattern is printed on the fabric it compresses the material slightly but this has not been an issue at all for me. Plus I love the pattern.
Personally, I use this most often as a seat-cover. With my seats covered, I don't often feel the need to change after my long run. That being said, this is great to have post-race if I'm planning to hang out for a while and don't necessarily have anywhere to change into more comfortable attire.
I'm also so glad to have added a 2nd towel to my collection. Adventures are always more fun with a buddy so I'm happy I'll have some added protection for the passenger side of my car in the future.
This thing seriously is one of the greatest products you never knew how much you needed until you've got it. It's such a simple concept but I can't believe just how frequently I'm using them.
