If you weren't aware, I'm a huge fan of Buff and all of their amazing products. I've already got a variety of their gear including a few hats and arm sleeves, as well as several standard and half Buffs. The range of products they offer has continued to grow but recently they went back to revisit and redesign the original Buffs to bring you the Buff Original Headwear Reborn.

Recycled Material

A few changes to note in the new Buff Headwear. First, the material is made out of 100% recycled REPREVE® Performance Microfiber. Buff has always stood out to me as a company dedicated to protecting and preserving our environment and this innovation definitely demonstrates that commitment. The microfiber itself is actually made from recycled water bottles pulled from the oceans and landfills.

Sun Protection

As with other Buff products, sun protection is a key feature. The Buff Original Reborn offers UPF 50 sun protection which means that less than 2.5% of UV rays can penetrate the material. For someone as pale as I am, this is a necessity. I hate the greasy feeling of wearing sunscreen on a run so the more skin I can keep covered, the better.

Comfort

The biggest noticeable change for me has been the comfort of the new Buffs. I think it's probably a combination of the new material and the 4-way ultra-stretch fabric, but the Buff Original Reborn just feels better when you're wearing it. It's hard to describe but the material just has a softer more sleek feel to the touch. The flexibility is also great since there are SO many ways to wear a buff.

How to Wear

I tend to wear my Buffs in the summer as a headband to keep my hair out of my face. This is actually my first full-length Buff and the extra fabric actually seems to fit more snuggly around my head. I also LOVE to fill my Buff with ice after a hot run and wear it around my neck to help cool off.

In the winter, I use a Buff on virtually every run to keep my face covered. I'm actually very excited to have the full buff this winter so I can bunch the extra material as a sort of scarf around my neck. The half Buffs have been great but were just barely too short to keep me covered as well as I'd like.

New Adventures

The other feature I'm really excited about is the new patterns offered for the Buff Original Reborn. This is actually the first fall I've decided to get myself a hunting license so I opted for the rock camo to help keep me hidden on the hunt. Although I don't think I'll be able to get out on a hunt until November, I've already suited up in all my camo to give it a test run.

Wrap Up

Like I mentioned in the beginning, Buff to me has always been a company dedicated to celebrating the outdoors, no matter what activity you're partaking in. The new Buff Original Headwear Reborn not only continues to improve the products they offer to athletes but with the incorporation of recycled material, Buff has really demonstrated their commitment to conservation.

As far as the versatility and functionality of any given product, I think Buff takes the cake with athletic apparel. You can check out the Buff Original Reborn HERE or visit the Buff website to see all of the products they offer.
